Three-piece suits were also seen in the collections of the hottest designers. This may be partly due to the resurgence of 20’s and 30’s style fashions for women also seen in Spring 2009. The modern three-piece suit has a conservative waistcoat that matches the other two pieces for a clean, sophisticated look. Look for solid three-piece suits and pinstripes.
Men’s suits for spring 2009 portray a conservative confident style. They are masculine and polished. The patterns in the materials are also staying in the conservative vein. Look for timeless hounds-tooth, herringbone, pin stripe, and small checks. The greatest thing about the suit trend this season is that the cuts and materials are so classic they make for great investment pieces that are sure to still look great for years to come.
Remember, ANY great looking suit can be given an expensive and masculine look when a contrasting colored scarf is added to the wardrobe!
